Overview

This retreat is designed to help writers near the end of the writing process. Like Retreat A, it focuses on writing about the teaching profession. Your complete application will consist of

Please answer the following questions (limit: 2 pages).

  1. At what school do you currently work? Which department?
  2. Provide a brief summary of your draft.
  3. Tell us about your publication goals for your manuscript. Are there specific journals or other publications that you are intersted in? What kinds of assistance do you anticipate needing?
  4. How would you describe the potential relevance of your writing to your colleagues, your local writing project site, or your school community?
  5. OPTIONAL: If you've been involved in a professional writing retreat at your site, or if you plan to provide leadership at your site in this area, briefly describe your activities and/or plans.

Letter of Support

This application requires a brief letter from the director or co-director of your site indicating support for your continued writing and leadership at the site. Please ask your site director or co-director to respond to the email inquiry he or she will receive after you have submitted your writing retreat application online. Your application will not be complete until we receive your letter of support.
