Annual Meeting Transportation

The Sheraton Philadelphia City Center, NWP's headquarters hotel, is located at the corner of 17th and Race Streets in downtown ("center city") Philadelphia. NCTE's headquarters hotel, the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown, and the Pennsylvania Convention Center are approximately 10 blocks (about a 15-minute walk) from the Sheraton. Getting to and from the Airport

The Philadelphia International Airport is about 13 miles (approximately 25 minutes, depending on traffic) from downtown Philadelphia and the Sheraton. The easiest way to get from the airport to any downtown hotel is to take a shuttle or a taxi. You can also take SEPTA, Philadelphia's regional rail system, to center city and then walk approximately .5 mile to the Sheraton.

Shuttle: For $10 one way (per person), you can take a Lady Liberty Shuttle to a variety of Philadelphia center city hotels.

Taxi: Taxis are available at the Philadelphia airport to center city hotels for a flat rate of $28.50 one way.

Train: You can take SEPTA, Philadelphia's regional rail system, directly from any airport terminal to center city (follow signs for SEPTA or "Train to City"). The cost is $7.00 one way, and tickets can be purchased on the train. Trains leave the airport for center city every half hour, and the trip takes approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour from start to finish.

To get to the Sheraton from the airport, board a train bound for center city and exit at Suburban Station (at the corner of 16th Street and John F. Kennedy Blvd.). From Suburban Station, walk north on 16th Street, bear left on Benjamin Franklin Parkway, and then turn right at 17th Street. The Sheraton is one block north, at the corner of 17th and Race Streets. The walk from Suburban Station to the Sheraton is a little over .5 mile, and should take 10–15 minutes.

Getting to and from the Amtrak Station (30th Street Station)

Amtrak trains come and go from Philadelphia through 30th Street Station, at the corner of 30th and Market Streets. The station is less than two miles from the Sheraton and downtown Philadelphia.

You can get from 30th Street Station to the Sheraton via taxi or regional rail.

Taxi: Taxis are available at 30th Street Station at the 29th Street entrance (follow the signs in the terminal). Fares to center city will range from $5 to $10, depending on traffic.

Rail: You can take SEPTA, Philadelphia's regional rail system, directly from 30th Street Station to center city (follow signs in the station to SEPTA Regional Rail). The cost is $3.50 one way, and tickets can be purchased at the station.

To get to the Sheraton from 30th Street Station, board a train bound for Market East Station, and exit at Suburban Station (at the corner of 16th Street and John F. Kennedy Blvd.). Getting from One Venue to Another

The Sheraton Philadelphia City Center, at 17th and Race Streets, and the Philadelphia Marriott, at 1201 Market Street, are approximately 10 blocks apart, about a 15-minute walk or 5-minute taxi ride.

The Pennsylvania Convention Center, located at 1101 Arch Street, is connected to the Philadelphia Marriott by a sky bridge and is also roughly 10 blocks from the Sheraton.

The quickest and easiest ways to get from one venue to another are to walk or take a taxi.

Walk: The 10-block, .5-mile walk from the Sheraton to the Pennsylvania Convention Center or the Marriott takes approximately 10–15 minutes.

Taxi: The taxi ride from the Sheraton to the Convention Center or the Marriott takes approximately 5–10 minutes and will cost around $8–10 one way, depending on traffic.

Parking

Hourly and overnight parking are available at the Sheraton for those who wish to drive to the NWP Annual Meeting. Self-parking is $38/day, and valet parking is $44/day. For guests who wish to park for shorter periods of time, self-parking is $12 for the first hour, $20 for up to 2 hours, and $25 for up to 12 hours. The fee for valet parking remains $44 for any period of time up to 24 hours.
