Why I Write: 2018 National Day on Writing

October 19–20, 2018

The National Writing Project, NCTE, The New York Times Learning Network, and the Teaching Channel invite you to celebrate writing in all its forms: through photos, film, and graphics; pens, pencils, and computers; in graphs, etchings, and murals; on sidewalks, screens, and paper. This year we are asking people in our community to share their writing life with us. Since the 20th falls on a Saturday, we encourage those in school to post your writing during the National Day on Writing on October 20 or the Friday before, October 19, with the hashtag #whyiwrite.

NWP Radio: Celebrating Writing
Our October 18 podcast will feature writing project leaders in St. Louis and Chicago talking about projects that have people writing about, and all across, these cities.
