2006 Professional Writing Retreat A

Writing Your Draft

August 3–6, 2006

Sleeping Lady Mountain Retreat
Leavenworth, Washington

This retreat is designed for writers who have a clear idea of what they will write about and are ready to spend sustained time doing so. On-site facilitators and editors provide support for writers. Through sharing their work in small writing groups and other contexts, participants become part of a community of writers. The retreat is designed to accommodate writers at all levels of development.

Retreat activities include
  • long stretches of time to write
  • response from writing group members
  • one-on-one conferences with editors and facilitators
  • a workshop on professional writing
  • publication of an anthology of "intermediate" drafts.
Retreat A is limited to 20 participants.

Please see information Writing Retreat B, Editing and Publication.
