General Session Celebrates Network's Accomplishments, Teacher-Writers
The NWP Annual Meeting general session in Atlanta drew over 900 participants from across the country. The annual gathering gave participants a look at the cumulative work of the network and the challenges and opportunities ahead. Personal and inspiring readings of five writing project teachers—Kathleen O'Shaughnessy, Lynn Jacobs, Paul Allison, Diane Waff, and Marcus Mason—were the highlight of the morning.
A Day at the NWP 2002 Annual Meeting
A rich array of workshops were presented by NWP teachers, co-directors, and directors, and included topics such as literacy for boys, how race and grammar connect in the classroom, building site leadership, turning a teacher demonstration into a professional article, and much more.
