Post NWP Annual Meeting Teachers Teaching Teachers Webcast

December 3, 2008

Host site: New York City Writing Project

In connection with the NWP Annual Meeting, you are invited to listen and interact with teachers across the globe during a special Teachers Teaching Teachers webcast sponsored by the Technology Initiative. This is a follow-up show to another webcast held before the NWP Annual Meeting on November 12.

This event, cohosted by the New York City Writing Project and the NWP Technology Liaisons Network, will feature Joe Bellino from the Maryland Writing Project and Karen McComas from the Marshall University Writing Project, as well as a couple of special guests.

Bellino and McComasm are the facilitators of a session at this year's Annual Meeting titled Reading the Research: Media Education and Literacy in the 21st Century. Their conversation with the Teachers Teaching Teachers audience will focus on a white paper published by the New Media Literacies Project at MIT titled Confronting the Challenges of Participatory Culture: Media Education for the 21st Century.

Join us to tell a story from your classroom about how you teach digital writing and who helps you think about this work.
