Amaze yourself and inspire others—be a part of the third summer CLMOOC focused on making learning connected. Educator Innovator is excited to announce that sign-ups are now open for CLMOOC 2015 .

What is CLMOOC?

CLMOOC is a collaborative, knowledge-building and sharing experience open to anyone interested in making, playing, and learning together about the educational framework known as Connected Learning . CLMOOC provides educators of all types with an opportunity to play with new tools, make projects and friends, and share projects and reflections with colleagues across the country and around the world.

When is CLMOOC?

CLMOOC (also known by its hashtag #clmooc) takes place June 18–August 2, 2015 and includes six week-long iterative make cycles. It is designed to be a collaboration rather than a course and educators are invited to come in and participate during any or all of the make cycles. The best way to engage is to sign up to receive the newsletter and jump in when you have time and interest.

What Does CLMOOC Mean for Writing Projects?

CLMOOC lives and breathes Writing Project principles as it is led by many site teams and teacher-leaders. Over the past two summers, Writing Project sites have participated in CLMOOC in many ways, including:

• Connecting their summer institutes to a larger community around connected learning and making;
• Inviting experienced teacher-consultants and fellows to engage together in CLMOOC as an inquiry project or study group;
• Remixing and reinventing core Writing Project practices through a Connected Learning perspective.

Several Educator Innovator partners—which will include Glasslab Games , KQED , and the National Park Service —will be leading CLMOOC make cycles. We are thrilled to have such amazing partners in this mix and are interested to learn how Writing Project sites use and respond to their work and practices.
