Cohort Two Sites

In 2003, a second group of nine writing project sites was selected to make up Cohort Two of the New Teacher Initiative. These sites, serving high-needs schools in both urban and rural parts of the country, have completed their three years of funded work to develop programs for new teachers that focus on improving the teaching and learning of writing in high-needs schools.  These sites are presently working toward sustaining these programs at their local writing project sites and disseminating what they have learned to a variety of interested audiences. Cohort One Sites
