Summary: NWP founder Jim Gray received the 2004 California Association of Teachers of English Career Achievement Award.

 


NWP founder Jim Gray (pictured above) is the 2004 recipient of the California Association of Teachers of English (CATE) Career Achievement Award. Gray’s involvement with CATE goes back at least four decades to a time he became a prime mover in advancing the organization’s annual and highly regarded Asilomar Conference. Jayne Marlink, director of the California Writing Project, was on hand to accept the honor for Gray at CATE’s February meeting in Palm Springs, California.
