National Gallery of Writing Launched to Celebrate First National Day on Writing
Date: October 20, 2009
Summary: As part of the National Day of Writing, the National Council of Teachers of English along with 19 national partners opened the National Gallery of Writing. The Gallery features galleries by the NWP, local writing project sites, teachers, and community partners.
Starting on October 20, 2009 (the National Day on Writing), and continuing through June 1, 2010, you will be able to view writing submitted to the National Gallery of Writing. To find writing contributed by your writing project colleagues and their students, visit the National Writing Project Gallery or any of the local galleries listed here.
Appleseed Writing Project
The Appleseed Writing Project gallery accepts writing submisions from AWP teacher-consultants, students, and friends and colleagues of Appleseed Writing Project.
Area 3 Writing Project
A place for A3WP teacher-consultants and their students to post writing.
Arkansas Delta Writing Project
This gallery will contain students' writings from the classrooms of Arkansas Delta Writing Project fellows and other teachers within the region.
Bay Area Writing Project
A gallery for Bay Area teachers and students of writing.
Cal State Northridge Writing Project
This is a gallery of writing for all those who are involved with the Cal State Northridge Writing Project. This would include summer institute fellows, teacher-consultants, young writers, ISAW teachers, and all others who consider themselves part of our writing project family.
Central California Writing Project
A selection of writing from teachers and students affiliated with the Central California Writing Project, a local affiliate of the California Writing Project and the National Writing Project.
Central West Virginia Writing Project
Writings may be submitted by teachers or their students from Kanawha and surrounding counties of WV, especially teachers who are affiliated with and have completed workshops offered by CWVWP.
Chippewa River Writing Project 2009 Participants
This gallery is an opportunity for CRWP members and their students to showcase and celebrate their writings. After all, we are writers!
Columbus Area Writing Project Gallery
This local gallery is open to teacher-consultants of the Columbus Area Writing Project, an Ohio affiliate of the National Writing Project.

Marshall University Writing Project.
The Gallery will consist of pieces written by K-12 teachers who participate in a summer writing program. The teachers are from every discipline and teach in three states. The writing contributions will focus on how teachers use writing in their classrooms to help their students learn and how they use writing to improve their teaching.
MayaWest Writes/MayaWest Escribe

Mohawk Valley Writing Project
This gallery highlights the work of writers who have participated in the Mohawk Valley Writing Project at Utica College in Utica, New York. MVWP writers include teachers, students, and members of the Mohawk Valley community.
National Writing Project Gallery
Annually, up to 3,000 K-12 and higher education faculty attend NWP summer institutes on the teaching of writing. There they explore writing in digital environments by publishing in the NWP's online environment, the E-Anthology. Here we present a rotating selection of the more than 7,000 submissions to the 2009 E-Anthology.
