Bay Area Writing Project Holds Reading for Young Writers

Summary: The Bay Area Writing Project (California) will be holding a reading in a local bookstore as a finale to their annual Young Writers' Summer Camp. The students will be reading pieces of their own work that have been developed over the course of the Writing Project camp.

The Bay Area [Writing] Project (BAWP) is a collaborative program of UC Berkeley and Bay Area schools, dedicated to improving both the teaching and activity of writing for all ages in every writing style. BAWP is the flagship of the larger National [Writing] Project, and as part of their yearly curriculum, offers summer camps in Berkeley and Oakland for kids 4th–9th grades, to encourage and improve their writing. As a finale to this summer's camp, Diesel, A Bookstore is hosting a reading by the burgeoning authors of their own works!
