Jameka Thomas, Urban Sites Network Conference Chair, shares her final thoughts for the evening on the conference and the historic and civic importance of Birmingham as the conference location:

We want people to understand that Birmingham is not a city that is stuck in the past. We are a progressive city. We are one of the largest cities in the South. And because of those things that we know and that we love of Birmingham, we wanted to share it with the world. So that's really what we're trying to do when people come to the conference in April."
