Excerpt from Article
So, am I a writer? And what does writing mean to me? At one time in my life, I wrote in my journal to make sense of the world, to find my emerging voice. Today, when I can't find my voice, I got back to my journals for inspiration. In the past, I wrote because it seemed the only option available to me in a world that often didn't make sense. Today, I write because it is a part of me; to not write is to ignore who I am. I am a writer.
