English Language Learners Networks Posts Bibliography

The Voice, Vol. 8, No. 2
Date: March-April 2003
Summary: The English Language Learners Network has posted an annotated bibliography that lists theory and practice-oriented books which will help teachers address the needs of second language learners.
The National Writing Project English Language Learners (ELL) Network has posted a bibliography on its webpage to help teachers and sites address the needs of second language learners. The bibliography offers a selection of both theory and practice-oriented books and articles that address issues of second language composition, literacy development, and grammar. ELL Network leaders hope the resource will be useful to individuals looking to add ELL-related articles to their site's summer institutes, to develop a special ELL institute or study group, or simply to further their understanding of the complexities of learning to write in a second language.
The bibliography was developed by members of the NWP ELL Network. To access this bibliography, go to archive.nwp.org/cs/public/download/nwp_file/368/Annotated_Bibliography.pdf?x-r=pcfile_d. For more information and a discussion of ELL Network topics, please sign up for the English Language Learners Network discussion listserv, which is available through NWP Interactive (NWPi) at www.nwp.org.
